When you create your membership with Fitness Valby, you accept our membership terms, House Rules, Data Policy, and that we may send changes to membership terms via email.
Your membership is ongoing and continues until you cancel it.
When you create a membership, you must provide your name, address, date of birth, email, phone number, and payment information. It is your responsibility to ensure that we have your correct contact information at all times. You must be at least 15 years old to become a member.
Access to the center is via our Justface facial recognition system. Your membership and access via Justface are personal, and misuse will result in a fee as per our price list and possible expulsion. Misuse can be, for example, letting others in when you have scanned your face.
If your membership is compromised, for example, by others gaining access to the center when you have scanned your face, you must immediately notify Fitness Valby in writing. It is important that you can document that you have notified us of the misuse if any doubt arises. You may be held responsible for any misuse that occurs until we receive your written report.
If you do not wish to use the facial recognition system, you can gain access to the center by entering your email address and a one-time code, which will be sent to your email, on the tablets located at the door.
Children, teenagers under 15, and non-members are not allowed in the workout areas or changing rooms. During staffed hours, children and teenagers may wait in the café area. Babies can be brought in a bassinet.
You may not take pictures or videos of other members in the center without their prior consent. It is not permitted to take pictures or record videos of anyone other than yourself in the center’s changing rooms. You must wear workout clothes and indoor shoes for training. Bare feet, jeans, work clothes, etc., are not permitted. The equipment may only be used for the exercises it is intended for. You must clean the equipment and put it back in its place immediately after use. You may not use powdered chalk. Smoking and the consumption of illegal substances are not permitted in the center. You may only be in the center during opening hours and must have left by closing time. It is not permitted to bring bicycles, scooters, strollers, and similar items into the center. It is also not permitted to bring dogs or other pets into the center.
You must always follow staff instructions. We do not tolerate verbal, written, or physical threats in any way; this will result in immediate exclusion, without the right to a refund of your remaining membership period, as well as a fee for violating our membership terms.
You can sign up for and cancel classes on our website or in the Go Active app. You can sign up for a maximum of 10 classes within two weeks. If you have a spot in a class that you no longer wish to attend, you must cancel at least six hours before the class starts. If you do not cancel at least six hours before the class starts, you will incur a fee for non-attendance, as stated in our price list. If you are on a waiting list and do not show up, but get a spot in the class at the start time, you will be charged a fee for non-attendance. We recommend that you cancel a class if you are unable to attend—even if you are on the waiting list.
You are automatically checked in when you open the gate with the facial recognition system. If you arrive later than 10 minutes before the class starts, you may lose your spot as it may be offered to a member on the waiting list, and you will be fined for non-attendance. You will not receive a fine for non-attendance if you have checked in. It is possible to check in up until the start of the class. If you check in after the class has started or not at all, you will be charged a non-attendance fee. You can check in at the earliest two hours before the class starts. If you are signed up for several classes in a row, the two-hour rule applies to each individual class.
The rules for signing up for and canceling classes also apply to your Workout Buddy. Fees for non-attendance by your Workout Buddy will be charged along with the membership.
You must pay a monthly fee for an ongoing membership as well as an administration fee, as stated in our price list. When you sign up, you pay a creation fee and a subscription fee from the sign-up date until the end of the current month. After that, your membership and any purchases you make in the center are paid by automatic card withdrawal or via MobilePay. Your membership and your purchases are paid on the 1st of each month.
You can use the Go Active app as a means of payment in the center, including for purchases of products in vending machines. The spending limit for purchases on your membership card is set by us. Your purchases will be charged along with your next payment. If you have a “Different Payer,” they are responsible for your purchases on the membership card where you have used the membership card as payment.
If you have created a Workout Buddy, you are responsible for all purchases made by them. All purchases on your Workout Buddy’s card will be paid on the 1st of each month along with your membership and any purchases you make.
If we do not receive payment for your membership and any purchases made by you and your Workout Buddy by the agreed time, we may suspend your membership and demand all outstanding amounts be paid immediately. You cannot work out or use your membership app as a means of payment if your membership is blocked or suspended until you have paid the full outstanding amount. This also applies to any card created for a Workout Buddy.
We reserve the right, independently or via a partner, to collect the outstanding amount, a fee for reminders and late payment, and to report bad payers to RKI/Experian in accordance with RKI’s applicable terms. The fee is set by Fitness Valby and is stated in our price list.
You can always cancel your membership with a notice period of the current month plus one month. Cancellation can be done via the app on your personal profile, by personal inquiry at the center, or by email to the center. Your cancellation is valid from the day we receive it and you have received a receipt for your cancellation from us. We encourage you to save this receipt. If there is any doubt as to whether you have canceled your membership in a timely manner, you must be able to document your cancellation.
If you share a membership with a Workout Buddy, only the Payer can cancel the membership. A cancellation from a Workout Buddy is not valid.
You cannot cancel a membership that is on hold.
You can put your membership on hold at any time for a fee, as stated in our price list. The hold must be for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months at a time, and you may put your membership on hold a maximum of 2 times annually. To put your membership on hold, you must contact the center during staffed hours or via your membership app.
If you share a membership with a Workout Buddy, only the Payer can put the membership on hold.
In the event of a breach of the membership terms or staff instructions, we can terminate your membership with immediate effect.
You may not use, sell, or transfer doping agents, possess doping agents with the intent to transfer them to others, or assist another person in using doping. Violation of the above will result in immediate expulsion and termination of your membership.
You are responsible for being in a state of health that allows you to participate in activities with us. All training is at your own risk.
We recommend that you store all your valuables in a locked locker during your workout. We are not responsible for loss due to theft or damage to property.
Personal lockers are not allowed, and you must therefore empty the locker before you leave the center. Lockers that are not emptied after closing time will be cut open and emptied. Damage to locks, for example, will not be replaced.
We regularly send emails and text messages with relevant information about your membership. This service can be unsubscribed from by contacting the center or online.
When you purchase your membership online, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day your membership was created. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must contact the center via email. The right of withdrawal expires once you have started using your membership. There is no right of withdrawal or exchange for purchases in our vending machines.
If you want to upgrade to a Double membership (with a Workout Buddy), you can do so effective the same day. The extra amount you have to pay will be added to your bill the following month. If you want to downgrade to a Single membership, you can do so effective at the end of the current month plus one month.
We may change membership terms, fees, and prices, including the price of your membership. The current prices, fees, and the like will always be available on our price list. Significant changes to prices, terms, and conditions will be announced within the current month plus one month before the change takes effect, via email and possibly by posting in the center. We can make minor changes with two weeks’ notice by posting in the center.
With our Double membership at DKK 599/month, you can add a Workout Buddy of your choice. If you want to replace a Workout Buddy, it costs a fee as per our price list. You are liable for all of your Workout Buddy’s purchases (as written under “The App as a Means of Payment”) as well as any fees for non-attendance at classes. A Workout Buddy can work out on the same terms as paying members—i.e., during all opening hours and in all classes. The membership terms also apply to the Workout Buddy.
If you want to replace your Workout Buddy with another person, you can do so by personal inquiry at the center or by sending us an email. There is a fee each time you change your Workout Buddy. If you want to change from being a paying member to being a Workout Buddy for someone else, you can change with a notice period of the current month plus one month.
The terms were last updated on March 31, 2025.
